Editing Field Boundaries and Boundary History
Boundaries in FieldAlytics may be edited at any time, and even reverted to previous boundary shapes. See help sections below
Editing Boundaries
- Within the Main tab, click on the Boundary level under any field.
- Boundary polygon(s) link texts list along the right side of the map within the light gray panel.
- Hover mouse cursor over the Polygon link texts, and the map will highlight the corresponding polygon within the map screen in red.
- Click the link for the polygon needed for editing.
- Click Edit Layer button to expose vertex nodes. Click and drag solid white vertex dots into desired position.
- Click floating save icon when finished.
Editing Options Delete Single Vertex Dot: A single click upon a solid white vertex dot will delete that vertex dot. Create New Vertex Dot: A single click (or click and drag) upon any semi-transparent vertex dot will cause the vertex dot to become active. Delete Mass Vert Deleting Entire Polygons
- Within the Main tab, click on the Boundary level under any field.
- Boundary polygon(s) link texts list along the right side of the map within the light gray panel.
- Right click over the polygon link text on right side gray panel, then click "Delete Polygon".
Adding New Polygons
- Within the Main tab, click on the Boundary level under any field.
- Click the "Add Polygon" link from the right side gray panel.
- Boundary editing mode will open within the map screen. Continue as normal. For more help, see help topic: Adding Boundaries.
Adding Field Attributes Point and Line attributes can be added to a field boundary. For help with this see help topic: Adding Field Attributes. |

Boundary Editing Tool Functions

Save: Click the Save button to save changes and exit boundary draw/edit mode. |

Cancel: Click the Cancel button to exit boundary draw/edit mode without saving any changes. |
|
Draw Polygon: Click the Draw Polygon button to draw polygon by dropping each desired vertex dot. |

Draw Circle:Click the Circle tool to create a circular polygon. Click and drag to define circle radius, then release. System will display two vertex dots. Click and drag over exterior vertex dot to re-adjust circle size. Click and drag over interior vertex dot to drag entire circle into desired position. Click Save. Please Note: Draw Circle only available for new polygons. |

Edit Layers: Click the Edit Layers button to expose polygon vertex nodes for the selected polygon. |

Delete Polygon: Click to delete a polygon, and immediately re-draw a replacement polygon. |

Split Polygon: Click the Split tool to draw a line that will split a polygon. Click to place first vertex node outside of the field boundary, then continue clicking until split line has been defined, making sure the last vertex node is also outside of the field boundary. Rapidly double click anywhere to stop drawing split line. Click Save. |

Mass Select: Click to select multiple vertex nodes at a time. Click the Mass Select tool, then click and drag rectangle to cover all desired vertex nodes. Once mouse button is released, system will display "Delete Selected Vertices" button. Click Delete Selected Vertices or click Cancel. |

Boundary History Tool
- Within the Main tab, click on the Boundary level under any field
- Click the drop-down menu on the right side of the screen that reads "Quick Report".
- From the "Quick Report" menu, select "Boundary History".
- Click "Go".
- The Boundary History window opens. Click "Recover Boundary" for the boundary desired.
