Creating ERP Connected Work Orders from Fertility

Users are able to generate fertility prescriptions utilizing ERP connected fertilizers products for downstream use in an ERP connected work orders. This process is applicable for any connected ERP.

Creating an Rx in the Fertility with ERP Products

  1. Select Grower/Farm/Field(s) profile that Rx will be written for
  2. Identify the needed available equation set that will control the recommendation logic
    1. Lab Recommendation
    2. User/Dealer Recommendation
  3. Define the Crop and then select the needed Elements that product recommendation is needed for
  4. Once the elements have been identified, the first critical touchpoint is ensuring the selection of the appropriate fertilizer product.
    1. A clients full integrated product list will be available to them within this module
    2. Click on either the generic ERP logo icon if the connection is with an non-Merchant Ag ERP solution, or click on the MerchantAg Barn icon if the user is connected to EFC’s ERP solution.Once clicked a “Product Selection” modal will appear. This will allow the user to select their Inventory Site and then select from the available products associated to that Inventory Site.
    1. Products will show in this list specific to the current primary element the user is working with
    2. Products will show with the same name and product ID number as represented in their connected ERP solution
      1. User can click on a product to verify its price and current “On Hand” inventory level.
      2. Confirm the product selection by pressing the “Select Product” button
    3. Repeat selection process for each primary element activated for the Rx process
  5. With the Product Selection modal now closed out, finalize your Rx setup by filling in any needed Variable Inputs requested by the equation set selected. This could include items such as crop yield goals, build levels or target Ph levels. Identify any system control values to help guide the recommendation rates. This can include machine min or max rates as well as subtract values or multiplier levels.
  6. Next, identify if any additional Removal or Credit functions need defined. Users can either manually identify past application events to apply a “credit” to the current application or can choose to pull in past yield events or yield potentials to act as a “removal” source to the event.
  7. Last, set any local control functions within the “More Options” section of the setup if needed.
  8. Select the “Submit Rx” button at the bottom of the Right-Hand pane to execute the Rx process.

Working with the Generated Rx map layer

  1. At this point, the web UI will be showing the colorized map layer for each identified Product/Element
  2. Within the small black actions window on the map layer will be several action functions.

Users can elect to do any or all of the following:

    1. Generate a PDF Report of the mapped event
    2. Export the spatial layer to a machine controller file
    3. Electronically “Save” the event for later use and tracking purposes
      1. If the Rx layer is satisfactory and is going to be turned into an actual application event, its highly recommended to select the “Save Rec” option so this layer is permanently stored to the fields history. This will allow the event to be referenced in future years and serve as a mapped record of the event.
    4. Create a work order from the listed event details
  3. Working off the assumption that a Work Order is needed (item 3.d) the user will select the option for “Create Work Order”.
  4. A new “Create Work Order” display modal will appear
    1. Users will have the choice to either make a brand new Fertilizer Work Order and Job under this grower specific to this event or they can elect to simply add a new job to an already existing/open Work Order for this grower (assuming that there is one) from the Select Work Order Dropdown box [1]. Ensure that the "Sync with Merchant Ag" slider is set properly [2]. This will ensure that the current Rx details and all associated information will be used to then send over the Work Order details to the ERP solution. If this box is not blue, the work order request will NOT be sent to the ERP solution.
  5. Select the “Create Work Order” button. The system will process the request and bring you to the Add New Work Order wizard.

Completing the Work Order

  1. The wizard will display a map with the selected fields related to the work order highlighted in yellow.

  2. Ensure that the fields selected match the fields from your Fertility tab Rx. Additionally, by clicking the hamburger tool [3] you can add a job description as well as certify sensitive crop status for compliance.

  3. The ERP tab has several functions. Here you can verify customer credit, verify inventory site and customer address as well as add other billable services[4].

  4. The Products tab displays the fertilizer product information generated by the Fertility Rx in addition to other options. Chemical products can be added to the work order if necessary, but are not required. Additional fertilizer can be added to the job at a user specified flat rate and a blend calculator is included on the page. Sliders for WPS Documentation and DOT Documentation are provided directly below the fertilizer and chemical fields. ERP Inventory levels are available by clicking the button.

  5. The Options tab contains a lot of relevant information pertaining to the work order and is highly customizable to ensure work order accuracy before finalizing.
  6. Window Date Range and Application timing are able to be set here but
can be modified later by finding the job under the Work Order tab within Fieldalytics.
  7. Options for liquid blend and Splits configuration is available.

  8. Users can configure their own notification preferences from this tab. Users can also identify additional personnel or people to get electronic notifications regarding the job order. These can be set to go out either via email or SMS text.
  9. Users can specify what job status will trigger alerts by using the dropdown box below the Configure Alerts checkbox.
  10. Files related to the work order can be attached. There is a Notes field available for any further documentation needed
  11. Upon hitting save, the work order will be created and sent to the Work Order tab where it can be edited or updated.
  • The system will then close out the Work Order setup modal and allow the user to continue working directly within the Fertility Module on other fields and profiles that need Rx events created and defined.
  •

At this point the Work Order has been created and is currently sitting in the “Entered” status level. It has not yet been sent over to the connected ERP program. The job order will not get sent over to the ERP program until the job has been moved into the “Accepted” status level.
