MyJohnDeere Asset Integration
Our MyJohnDeere Asset Integration allows for the transferal of controller files from FieldAlytics to MyJohnDeere Assets and tracking of the Asset location. Follow the steps below to identify and gather the necessary required items to activate this integration
Things to Know:
- Before you can connect a MyJohnDeere asset, a MyJohnDeere Authorization must be done to facilitate the connection between a FieldAlytics User's account and MyJohnDeere Ops Center account. Please Note: The Related Articles below discuss the steps of setting up a MyJohnDeere Authorization and Permission needed in MyJohnDeere to facilitate the flow of data.
- Machine Data collected flows into MyJohnDeere Ops Center then from MyJohnDeere Ops Center into FieldAlytics via a nightly sync.
Required Items
Registering MyJohnDeere Asset on FieldAlytics: Ensure the above requirements are in order as they will be needed to complete activation request between John Deere terminal(s) and the FieldAlytics web system.1. Sign into the EFC website (www.efcsystems.com) with a valid username/password. Please Note: Sign in with the FieldAlytics account used to setup the MyJohnDeere Authorization which has access to the desired MyJohnDeere Asset. This API runs strictly on a one to one association. 2. Click on the Assets tab. Search through the Navigation Tree to create or find the correct asset to assign MJD API service to. Please Note: The asset needs to be one of the various "Application" type assets.
3. Click on the specific asset within the Profile Tree to open it and then click the “Edit Asset” link.

4. The "Edit Asset" window will appear. Select "3rd Party API" tab, then for "Choose Asset Type" select "MyJohnDeere" The system will then check FieldAlytics username, and validate it against MyJohnDeere account information to determine equipment access . If no MyJohnDeere has previously been linked, a redirect will occur to MyJohnDeere login page to setup the MyJohnDeere Authorization for the account. If an MyJohnDeere account has previously been linked to FieldAlytics Account, profiles will appear within the "Edit Asset" window. Skip directly to step 7 5. Log into the MyJohnDeere Site using current username and password.
6. Select the “Allow” button on the next window to give FieldAlytics permission to connect to MyJohnDeere account/terminal. |
7. Back on the EFC FieldAlytics page, the "Edit Asset" window will now update with assets and profiles from MyJohnDeere account linked 8. Click on folders to expand them, then select the asset to be linked. Click the "Add Asset" button. Please Note: This will automatically pull across the machine information and populate FieldAlytics Asset Setup page with the required details 9. Change nothing within the Configuration page, and click "Save " |
10. Asset is now set up to wirelessly transfer application files and positional data. Please Note: MyJohnDeere API enabled assets will not provide real-time tracking within FieldAlytics, as John Deere provides location information only every 20 minutes when the machine is active.
