Climate FieldView Tools

The Climate Account Registration tool links FieldAlytics growers with an existing Climate FieldView accounts facilitating the nightly syncing of data types: As Applied, As Planted, and Yield. The Climate Boundary Export Tool pulls Boundary Shapefiles from Climate FieldView to be used for manual upload into FieldAlytics. The Climate Boundary Sync Enrollment Tool pushes FieldAlytics boundaries into the requested Growers Climate FieldView Inbox.

     Things to Know Before Authorizing:


1. Boundaries must be setup in FieldAlytics for the data to associate. Setup all necessary boundaries before authorizing the connection for ingestion of data.
2.  Please Note: The screening process for duplicate data is based on the file type and naming being identical. If Raw Controller Files were loaded prior to the Climate FieldView Authorizing, the Climate FieldView Authorization will result in a duplication of data for all ingested data types, as the file types are unique to each source. To prevent this restrain from loading alternative sources of data from other than Climate FieldView and/or Lock data layers to prevent duplication.  

Accessing Climate FieldView Tools

  1.  Click the menu icon in the upper right hand corner of FieldAlytics screen.
  2. Click "Tools"
  3. The system opens "Tools" menu window. Use drop-down menu to select "Climate FieldView™ Tool "

How to Setup/Authorize a Climate FieldView Account

  1. Select "Climate Account Registration Tool" 
  2. Click the "Authorize with FieldView" button
  3. Separate browser tab will open, input the growers Climate site credentials, then click "Log In". 
  4. Click "Allow". 
  5. The Authorized Account will now display under the Currently Registered Account(s)
  6. Once Registered syncing of data(As Applied, As Planted, and Yield) will occur on a nightly basis looking back 2 days for any new data and ingesting into FieldAlytics. Note: A boundary must be in place in FieldAlytics for the data to associate.
  7. Please Note: If Historical data is needed, a request can be sent to the FieldAlytics Support Team. To perform the sync you will need to provide the growers Climate Email,  data type(As Applied, As Planted, and Yield) and the Start/End Date.
  8. To unregister a climate account, click the Unlink Red Icon. A box will pop-up to confirm.  

How to Export Boundaries from Climate FieldView for upload into FieldAlytics

  1. Select "Climate Boundary Export Tool" 
  2. Select a Grower: Note: The selected grower is only for naming references in the shapefile export file. 
  3. Click "Authorize With FieldView".
  4. Separate browser tab will open, input Climate site credentials, then click "Log In". 
  5. Click "Allow". 
  6. Once approved by Climate the "Configure Options" will provide the option of two Export formats: Combined ESRI Shapefile or ESRI Shapefile.

    How to Send Boundaries from FieldAlytics to Climate FieldView Inbox

    1. Select the "Climate Boundary Sync Enrollment Tool"

    2. Select Climate Account 

    3. Select the Profile(s) 

    4. Sync Boundaries on Submit

    a. No: Boundaries are enrolled with Climate and synced when they have changed since the last time they were synced

    b. Yes: Boundaries are enrolled and synced immediately to Climate, even if they have previously been synced 


    5. Boundaries will be sent to the Climate FieldView Inbox requiring approval
