Creating and Managing Assets
The Asset tab can be used to manage assets including Equipment, Personnel, and Points of Interest. Asset management allows for tasks including defining applicator alerts, maintenance record tracking, and uploads of Field data. The Asset tab also includes multiple reporting/mapping features and the ability to communicate events via email.
Creating New Asset Folders
1. Once in the Assets tab, right-clicking over any level of the Profile tree will present the Asset/Alert folder menu Please Note: An asset folder must be created in order for assets to be created in the system. 2. Select "Add Asset Folder" and the system will open "Add Asset Folder" Naming window, input a name for the Asset Folder and click "Add". 3. A new Asset Folder is now created and in place under the profile level it was created on. |
Creating New Equipment Asset
1. Right click over the Asset folder and select "Add Asset" 2. The system will open "Add Asset" Naming window. Input a name for the asset, and choose the asset type under the "Equipment" header, then Click "Add". 3. Expand the Asset folder and the newly created asset will be stored under it. Click the new asset within the profile tree . 4. This will open the Asset page. Click the link in order to set up the rest of the Asset details. 5. The Edit Asset window opens, Input details for the asset and click "Save". Please Note: Activating certain asset integrations require additional steps. For more help with these, reference the Related Articles below. Creating Personnel Assets1. Right click over the Asset folder and select "Add Asset" . 2. The "Add Asset" window opens; Input Personnel name for "Asset Name" input field, then choose any asset type from the "Asset type" drop-down menu, under the Personnel header, then click "Add" 3. Click the newly created Personnel Asset within the profile Tree 4.This will open the Asset page. Click the link in order to set up the rest of the Asset details. 5. The Edit Asset window opens, Input details for the asset and click "Save" when complete Please Note: an email address is required to dispatch to an asset in Operations. Creating Points of Interest1. Right click over the Asset folder and select "Add Asset" . 2. The "Add Asset" window opens; Input Point of Interest name for "Asset Name" input field, then choose any asset type from the "Asset type" drop-down menu, under the "Points of Interest" header, then click "Add" 3. Click the newly created Point of Interest Asset within the profile Tree 4. This will open the Asset page. Click the link in order to set up the rest of the Asset details. 5. The Edit Asset window opens, Input details for the asset and click "Save" when complete Renaming/Deleting Assets and Asset FoldersRight clicking over the Asset folder will present menu window pictured below, which may be used to delete the Asset folder, or rename it. Right clicking over the specific asset will present the menu window pictured below, which may be used to rename or delete the asset. |
Editing Saved Assets
1. In the Assets tab, navigate to the profile tree and click the asset to be edited. 2. The system loads the asset details within the Asset Window, click the link. 3. The system loads the "Edit Asset:" window. Use the window to edit the details of the asset and click "Save" when finished. |
Map Icons
Map Icons can be assigned to Assets in the "Edit Asset" window using the Map Icon "Select Map Icon". These Icons will display along with the Assets name on the Main Module Map when location data is available. |
Setting up Manual Tracking for Points of Interest Assets
With the "Edit Asset" window open, set the Wireless System to "Manual Tracking" and Click "Save". Click the "Set/Edit Manual Location" A "Set Location" window will open with a map view, zoom to the desired location and left click to drop the Blue Marker. The latitude and Longitude will generate upon dropping the pin. Click "Save". Latitude and Longitude will now display with the asset selected in the Assets Module The Asset Name/Map Icon can now be viewed on the Main Module with Assets viewing selected. |
