FieldAlytics v9.8 Release
Release Date: July 1, 2026
We're excited to bring you the latest enhancements and updates as part of the 9.8 release.
What's New?
Yield Normalization —- Auto-Create Yield Potential Layer
Users now have the ability to automatically generate a Yield Potential layer at the end of the normalization process — available in both the Single Yield Normalization and Batch Yield Normalization tools.
- Check the new Create Yield Potential Layer option on the normalization form to get started.
- Provide a Commodity, Unit, Year, and Name, and FieldAlytics will auto-assign average yield values based on the normalization results for each field.
- When defining the input layers, the year dropdown now shows only the past 10 years and next 2 years, keeping your options current and relevant.
Account Preferences —- Default Map Location & Profile Navigation
For a more familiar start every time you log in, you can now set a default map view and profile navigation within Account → Preferences.
- Default Map Location — Use the Capture button to save your current map view. The next time you log in, your map will load right where you left off.
- Default Tree Profile — Choose any profile level to be pre-expanded in the tree on login. Set it to a grower profile or below, and the map will zoom to those fields automatically on login.
- Also note that if this is configured to a grower level or below, it will override any Default Map Location defined on login.
Small Enhancements
- Cloud Uploader — Shapefiles exported from John Deere Operations Center can now be uploaded via the Cloud Uploader. Select the JD Ops Center Shapefile controller format, upload your
.zipexport, and FieldAlytics will route it through the appropriate conversion path. Supported export types include Yield, As-planted, and As-applied. This option is designed for files exported directly from John Deere Operations Center and may not process shapefiles from other sources correctly.
Announcements
Explorer Deprecation
The FieldAlytics Explorer App has been officially retired with release 9.8. After more than a decade as the home for field scouting, soil sample collection, and offline data capture — and following over two years of work to bring those capabilities into FieldAlytics Mobile — today marks the close of that chapter. If you haven't yet made the move to FieldAlytics Mobile, your Customer Success representative is ready to help get you there.
