Announcements 📢

Security

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of security for your data and our services, we are making an important change to our infrastructure. Effective January 31, 2025, we will be discontinuing the use of static IP addresses for our cloud infrastructure. This decision is driven by our goal to enhance security and protect against evolving threats.

Why are we making this change?

Enhanced Security: Static IP addresses can be targeted by malicious actors, making them a potential vulnerability. By moving away from static IPs, we reduce the risk of targeted attacks and improve the overall security posture of our infrastructure.

Dynamic Scalability: Modern cloud environments benefit from dynamic IP allocation, which allows for better scalability and flexibility. This change enables us to respond more quickly to your needs and ensure optimal performance and availability.

Improved Threat Detection: Dynamic IPs make it more challenging for attackers to predict and exploit our network. This unpredictability enhances our ability to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.

Impact on Your API Integration

We understand that this change may impact the way your on-premises API communicates with FieldAlytics. Previously, you were able to lock down your API by allow/deny listing our static IP addresses. We recognize the importance of maintaining the security of your infrastructure and are committed to supporting you through this transition. If you have any questions or need assistance with the implementation of these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to enhance the security and reliability of our services.

Adapt-N Updates

Adapt-N is an extra paid service available to FieldAlytics users that gives them the ability to enroll individual fields to generate in-season Nitrogen recommendations. This will be the second season Adapt-N has been owned by Ever.Ag. Adapt-N model code goes through regular updates to keep up with research and some more substantial code was recently updated.

A new way to calculate the ammonia volatilization was added. It will have its biggest impact on manure and ammonia-based fertilizers applied on or near the surface. Another update to note is a change how anhydrous ammonia is handled on days < 50° F. This update better accounts for the fact that N transformation processes slow in the winter and soil temperature is not as quick to change as air temperature. This update will slow the transformation of ammonium N in cold soils applied with anhydrous ammonia.

Legacy API

api.fieldalytics.com will be retired on January 31st 2026, all API client requests will need to be migrated to the FieldAlytics Envision API before this date. The Envision API documentation can be found here. We will no longer be creating new endpoints on api.fieldalytics.com after January 31st 2025, but it will be maintained for the next year until its retirement.

New Operations

Legacy Operations will no longer be supported after December 31, 2025. To ensure a seamless transition, we encourage you to reach out to your Customer Success representative to discuss your workflows and provide any feedback you may have.
