Split Management Tool
The Split Management Tool is a new tool within FieldAlytics focusing on crop sharing. Split Management allows users to input shared cost percentages for multiple entities. This tool will continue to be expanded to include funcitonality to manage splits for connected ERPs. This will be replacing the current Share Crop functionality within the Field Info speech bubble.
To access the Split Management tool, begin by navigating to either the Grower, Farm or Field profile levels of the profile tree. Next select Split Management from the Tools menu to the right of the map.
The profile level that the Split Management tool is opened will dictate the fields and filters present in the tool. A Farm Filter or Field Filter may optionally be set to narrow the number of fields displayed within the tool.
Click on the arrow below the check box to expand the Field. Each Field is defaulted with one Entity as the Grower profile name with all values set to 100%. To add more, click Add Entity, name the Entity and click the blue checkmark to confirm. The Split Management tool is not limited to only two entities and additional entities may be added.
Once the new Entity has been added, users may now enter the shared percentages of each entity for each category. Please note that the sum of each category must equal 100% between all entities to be saved.
If a split needs to be applied to multiple fields, users may check the boxes of those fields and select the Apply Splits to Selected Fields option from the menu icon to the right of the field.
Once all splits have been defined, click Submit to finish.
Split Management for ERPs
Having cost share information synced with ERPs should be an invaluable tool for Agronomists using FieldAlytics. The Split management tool will increase billing efficiency and accuracy by showing the cost share between customers.
The split Management tool will continue to expand to add additional ERP connectivity. Below, we will list the current ERPs with functionality with the Split Management tool and any additional steps required to run the tool.
Agris
Agris connected growers have the ability to set splits on both fields and grower level POI assets such as pick up and drop off locations.
If a field currently has a split set up within Agris, a nightly sync will automatically import the splits into FieldAlytics. Any changes to splits in the Split Management tool in FieldAlytics will then be sent immediately to Agris.
When adding a new entity to an Agris connected field or asset, users must provide an Agris Customer Id to add an additional entity. Entering the Customer Id will then display the name of the grower associated with the Agris Id. General named entities like "Landlord" cannot be added.
Splits set up for Agris growers can also be viewed within in the ERP tab of a Work Order. The splits for an asset may be edited within a Delivery Ticket Work Order, but are view only for every other Work Order type.
Although splits may be edited within a Delivery Ticket Work order, they may also be set to read only. To set Delivery Splits to Read Only, users can find the setting in the Connect 3rd Party ERP tool from within Tools.
