Editing Field Sample Values

The Edit Sample Values utility allows for the nutrients and ID numbers associated with a soil sample layer to be edited. Follow steps and help tips below.

Accessing Edit Sample Values Window

  1. On any Field Sample Layer go to the "Action" drop down menu, located near the upper right corner of the map screen, within the gray panel.  
  2. From the "Action" drop-down menu, select "Edit Sample Values".
  3. Click "Go".
  4. The system opens "Edit Sample Values" utility window. 

Using Edit Sample Values Utility

  • Edit Icon: Clicking the edit pencil icon, allows for the column or row to be edited. Click the pencil icon and it will change to a save icon. Make needed changes and then click the save icon.
  •  Delete Icon: Clicking the delete icon wherever it appears deletes the entire sample point as well as the row of data that corresponds with the sample point.
  • Mass Delete Check Box: Clicking the check boxes of unwanted sample rows, then clicking allows for the selected rows to be deleted
  •  Add Elements: Clicking the "Add Column" text link allows for a new column of Elemental data to be added. Click the pencil icon of the new column to add point values.
  •  Enlarge Window Button: Clicking this button will expand the Edit Sample Values window to its fullest extent. Subsequent clicks return window to original size.
