Batch Crop Area

Accessing Batch Crop Area

The Batch Crop Area tool allows users to create crop areas for multiple fields at a time at both the grower and farm levels. 

To begin, navigate to the desired Grower or Farm within the Profile tree. Next click on the tools menu located to the right of the map and select Batch Crop Area.

Now click on the Crop Area Generation in the new window to get started.


Crop Area Generation

This section will go through the options available within the Crop Area Generation Tab within the Batch Crop Area tool.

Within the Crop Area Generation tab, fields represented by a red boundary already have a crop area created for the year set. Yellow boundaries represent fields that do not currently have a crop area.

  1. Crop Areas can be designated by year here, users can assign past, current, and future crop areas
  2. Clicking here will display a calendar to select the Planting Date
  3. Clicking here will display a calendar to select the Harvest Date
  4. Clicking on the Crop box will display the most common used crops, if the desired crop is not populated in the drop down menu, begin typing the name of the crop and select the appropriate crop from the list.
  5. Users can assign a yield goal for the selected crop by typing in this box. Clicking the right half of this box will allow users to select the correct yield unit/acre
  6. Click on the Variety box will display a new window to select the desired variety by selecting Crop then Manufacturer, and finally the variety. Clicking the i next to the variety will display the Seed variety details 

  7. Users can add a crop description here. Ex: White or Yellow Corn, Winter or Spring Wheat, etc. 
  8. The menu box at the right of each row allows users to apply each option to all fields that are selected with option 9
  9. Selecting this box allows for the use of apply all function from option 8. The boxes in each row also need to be selected to submit and finish the Crop Area Generation.
  10. Fields also can be selected from the Map Selection function by clicking on the desired fields on the map and clicking Continue with Selected Fields. Having the toggle at the bottom right of the map set to Yes will only display fields that do not currently have a crop area created for the given year.
