Agvance ERP Product Set Up
Users with a connected Agvance ERP integration have the ability to connect products in order to send work orders to Agvance for blend ticket creation.
Setting Up Agvance Products
On a per Agvance database basis, products will need to be set up to be available for use within FieldAlytics for work order creation. Product set up requires users to define whether the product is a fertilizer or a chemical type. We have developed convenience tools to help expedite this process. Anytime products are added to the connected Agvance ERP database they will need to be set up in FieldAlytics as well. Products are synced nightly between FieldAlytics and Agvance. Access to the product set up tools is via the "Connect 3rd Party ERP" tool.
Within the tool the user will see a list of every product that exists within the connected Agvance database. Each product also displays additional identifying information such as Name, ID, Department ID, and Department Name.
Setting Up Products
When the user first enters the tool, all products "Product Type" will be listed as "Product Type" indicating that it has not been set up yet. Note that all products within the connected database will be available for set up so often users do not set up all products such as fuel or seed. To begin defining product type users can move product by product selecting whether the product is a fertilizer of chemical. Once satisfied with your selection, select the "Save" button to record your changes.
Users can also filter the list so that they can work on a specific list of products by first selecting the "Filter Agvance Products" button.
Users can search for specific product names or filter by department or classification. Additionally, users can filter by product type or by products that are yet to be set up via the "Only Show" option.
Setting Up Products via Mass Update
In order to speed up the set up process FieldAlytics has also developed a Mass Update tool. This tool enables users to define the product type for multiple products in mass. To get started select the "Mass Update" button in the tool.
Users can than search for certain products, a department, or a classification and then set the "Product Type" to "Chemical", "Fertilizer", or "Not Set Up". Click the "Submit" button to record your changes. Any product that matches the criteria will have their product type to that defined by the user.
Products are now available within the work order and fertility modules for utilization.
