Product Management - Fertilizers

Use the Product Management Tool to input fertilizer products for use in the Fertility tab and Work Order creation.

PLEASE NOTE: The first 8 characters(spaces don't count as characters) need to be unique as Shapefile DBF creation only uses the first 8 characters of a product name, failing to abide by this will result in exports failing to generate if 2 products with the same first 8 characters are used.

Here is an example of product names that seem unique, however when converted down to 8 characters they are identical:

Element Mn->ElementM

Element Mg->ElementM

Product Management FAQ

  • How are products like Chicken Litter entered into the Product area?

The numbers input into the Product area should be representative of a percentage value. For example, if the chicken litter product is 75 lbs of P per ton, then enter the P value as 3.75

  • I have a product set up, but I am not seeing it as a selectable product in Fertility tab ensure the Target Element, is configured correctly, and that the product has been enabled for the specific location.
  • If a product has high concentration of nutrient for multiple nutrients, what should the Target Element be?

The target should be whichever has the higher value. If the product will be needed in Fertility tab under multiple nutrients then set up multiple iterations of the product within the Product Management Tool, with each iteration pointed to a different target element.
