Sending Files to Assets and File Sync Status

Once connective Assets are saved in the FieldAlytics web system, files may be sent directly to those assets through the Assets tab. Follow the steps below

Sending Files to Assets

1. Click on the Assets tab. then expand the profile tree to select an asset. 

2. With the Asset loaded, click the "Send File..." that appears within the blue "File Sync Status" header bar.
3. FieldAlytics opens "Send File to Asset" uploading window. Click the "Choose file" 

button.

4. After clicking "Choose file" the system opens a windows exploratory window. Use this window to navigate computer to find and select the file to be transferred. Once file is selected, click "Open"

5. Back on the Send File to Asset window. Click "Upload"

The system displays a success message and file gets listed within the "File Sync Status" section on the Asset page.

File Sync Status

  • After files have been sent to an asset from any part of the system, those file uploads will be listed within the "File Sync Status" section of the asset page within the Assets tab. 
  • Files listed within the File Sync Status section show two possible statuses: "File Sent", and "File Waiting" .
Please Note: "File Sent" status shows regardless of if the upload was canceled or uploaded successfully to the asset.

File Sync Status Actions

Clicking  "Action" for any of the entries within the File Sync status entries brings up the status Action box. All options within the action box do exactly as they are labeled.
