SSURGO (PDF) Report

Information provided by the Soil Survey Geographic Data base may be accessed using SSURGO (PDF) reports. These may be ordered on the Grower, Farm or Field levels and detail all the soil types present on a field within a map and a list with acreage for each soil type along with optional yield potential information. See help below for steps to generate a SSURGO (PDF) report, and example report pages.

Generating Field Level SSURGO (PDF) Reports

  1. Click on any Field in the profile tree in the left pane on the Main tab [1].
  2. After the field has been selected, from the right pane, select the "Reports" button, then select SSURGO (PDF) from the drop-down.
  3. This report is generated live, will be delivered within a separate browser window.
    Please Note: Reports delivered live, are delivered within a separate "Pop-Up" style window. Ensure any pop-up blockers are turned off in order to receive report properly.

Generating Grower/Farm SSURGO (PDF) Reports

  1. Click on any Grower [3] or Farm [4] in the profile tree in the left pane on the Main tab.
  2. Once the desired profile is selected, the right pane populates multiple buttons. Select the "Reports" button.
  3. The system opens a Reports window, select SSURGO (PDF) from the list, then "Submit".
  4. The system opens the Soil Report Options window. The Grower and Farm level report has several options not available to the field level report.
    1. Limit Selection by Field - Clicking the Limit Selection By Field opens a drop-down to show a profile selection tree. Check the box by any farm/field to to select them. This is an optional step, as the report will include all fields under the profile by default
    2. Report Selections - At least one report must be selected, but multiple can be requested.
      1. Soil Type Maps - Selecting this option causes the report to come with field level SSURGO maps and soil breakdowns.
        1. Yield Potentials w/Soil Map - Selecting this option in addition to Soil Type Maps causes the report to come with additional columns added for yield potentials.
      2. Aggregate Soil Type Map - Selecting this option causes the report to come with Farm level SSURGO maps and soil breakdowns.
    3. Delivery Preferences Additional emails can be input, if desired. This report will be delivered to the same email address as is the user name signed in at the time of generation.
  5. Report will arrive by email.
