Samsara Asset Tracking

The Samsara integration allows organizations to track the locations of linked Assets from within FieldAlytics.

Samsara Enrollment

A Samsara account must first be linked with a FieldAlytics account before the Asset Linking tool will be available within FieldAlytics. To link an account, start by clicking on the menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting Tools.

Now select Samsara Enrollment from the dropdown menu. From here click on Authorize with Samsara.

Now enter the login information associated with the Samsara account and click Sign in.

Once the accounts are linked the Samsara Enrollment window will now display the date the connection was authorized. Clicking on the large red button will unauthorize the account.

Linking Assets to Samsara

Once authorized, close the Tools menu and select a Location from the profile tree in the Main tab. In the right panel, select "Third Party Asset Linking" from the Tools dropdown.  

Once selected, a new window opens, select Samsara as the Third party.

Please Note: Only the account that authorized the Samsara connection will be able to link assets.

To link an asset to Samsara, select the asset within both the FieldAlytics asset list and the Samsara Asset list. Once the Asset has been selected in both lists, click Link Assets. The Asset is now linked to Samsara and available for Asset Tracking.

Please note that the Wireless ID on the asset must match the Samsara ID to be linked.
